INTRODUCTION

Motivation is either intrinsic or extrinsic. Intrinsic motivation comes from within. It does not depend on external factors. For instance, there is a person who works to gain knowledge or develop skills. It is intrinsic motivation.
On the other hand, extrinsic motivation depends on external factors. For instance, there is a person who works for a promotion or pay raise. It is extrinsic motivation.
In an organization, it is necessary to motivate the employees. Motivated employees are likely to perform their best. They put all their effort into their task. Hence, it helps to achieve the organizational goals. Also, it improves the work environment.

The mentality of people is responsible for everything that the person does. It is accountable for every decision the person makes. So, a proper thought towards work is very crucial. And it can come from motivation. Some importance of organization motivation are:

Motivation increases the productivity of an organization. Motivation understands the needs of employees. It fulfills their needs. Due to this, employees will be willing to work hard. They will put more effort into their strategies. Hence, the productivity increases.

Improving communication is the easiest yet most effective way to increase organization motivation. Having a positive conversation with the employees can make them feel positive. It is better not to rely only on meetings or emails. You should talk to the employees in person as well. Also, sometimes have a conversation on personal stuffs. It improves the communication.
As a manager, a person can set aside a few minutes every day to have a conversation with the employees. Or the manager can also join the employees during lunch breaks. It makes employees feel like they are a valuable part of the team. Also, it makes the manager a leader instead of a boss.
When the employees feel important, they are motivated. They want to do good for the company. So, they put their hard work and effort into their task.
- Value the work of the employees
Managers should appreciate the work of the employees. They should thank the employees for helping to achieve the goals and objectives. Due to this, employees will feel proud and valuable. They will engage in their assigned task and work hard. The size of the work does not matter if the employees are aware of their importance.
Also, valuing the work does not always mean spending on the employees. Managers don’t need to buy gifts, give a raise, or promote the employees. They can simply talk and acknowledge their efforts.

One of the reasons for lack of motivation is a negative work environment. Therefore, management should maintain a positive workplace. The managers can take surveys to have a positive workplace. Also, they can have feedback from the employees. In doing so, managers can know about the problems. Then they can take action.
